Staff training
Direct staff are the backbone of your agency. First Resource Behavior Services has the ability to train your staff to think like a behavior analyst. Trainings focus on how to respond to behavior based on its function, the importance of data collection and how to collect data, how to increase learning with those with developmental disabilities, and effective use of reinforcement. Trainings are interactive and are sure to increase the skill level of your staff.
Functional Behavior assessment
At First Resource Behavior Services we believe that the best results don’t come from arbitrary behavior interventions but from careful planning, data collection, and observation that determine what is driving the behavior. Functional behavior assessment (FBA) is a behavior assessment technique that determines the function or the reason why a behavior is happening through observation, data collection, and semi-structured interviews.
Completing an FBA leads to better, function-based interventions that help the child meet the underlying need of the behavior in a healthier, safer way. This can lead to a reduction of interfering behavior while teaching new skills to replace those behaviors.
First Resource Behavior Service’s FBA process is a thoughtful, comprehensive, and empathetic system in which we gather information from a variety of sources and methods.
